"Harry Goz, the voice of Captain Murphy, passed away this week. A message from Adam Reed and Matt Thompson, co-creators of "Sealab 2021," follows:
"We are devastated by the loss of our good friend, Harry Goz. Working with him was always sheer joy, and his talent was beyond compare. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, and we shall all miss him dearly." "
Another post by an editor of the show mentions that he succumbed to cancer.
No word just yet on how/if Sealab continues, but a replacement actor would not likely be well-received by the show's fans.

That sucks, considering he was the only redeeming part of the show at this point. The writing has gone to hell and it just plain sucks, as Mr. Reed and Mr. Thompson seem to think people care more about seeing them in the cartoon than seeing the characters interact.
Murphy's voice was the only funny thing left.
What a blower.

My god.....I am still in shock he is gone. I never knew he was as old as he was. While SeaLab wasn't my favorite show, it still brought me some laughs and I am incredibly sad that this happened.

Captain Hank Hazel Murphy
a man of amazing wit with incredible stupidity has been lost
but his words will echo into oblivian
no words can express the sheer joy he brought his audiences
i pray that sealab can find a new captain worthy of murphy's title
